For book coaches, ghostwriters, small presses and organisations

Own a publishing company.
Your AI agent runs it.

You bring the authors and make the decisions. Your agent publishes their books, from formatting and covers to distribution, audiobooks, royalties and tax forms, all included in your plan. And the $800 to $1,000 a publishing service would charge for each book is yours to keep.

Founding licensees: $500 setup instead of $1,500, and your monthly price locked. Plans from $99 a month.

Good morning. Since yesterday I answered 6 author emails, moved 2 books forward and chased a missing tax form. Nothing is late.

The problem

You already have the hardest part: authors who trust you

Many people who could run an excellent small press never start one, because of the list. Trim sizes and bleed. ISBNs and metadata. EPUB validation. Distributor accounts. Quarterly royalty statements. W-9s, W-8BENs, treaty rates and 1099s. Every item is learnable, and together they're a full-time job that has nothing to do with why you love books.

The platform removes the list. You run the business. Your agent does the work.

What it means to be your own publisher

The $1,000 a book you used to pay is now yours.

Turning a finished manuscript into an ebook and a paperback usually costs $800 to $1,000 with a publishing service: formatting, a cover, ebook conversion and distribution. On the platform your agent does all of it, and it's included in your plan.

So that money stays with you. Charge your authors for publishing and keep all of it, or put it toward your own next book. Your only costs per book are the ISBN and, if you want one, a printed proof.

How it works

You decide. Your agent does.

You, the publisher

  • Choose which authors and books you take on
  • Set your own prices for every service
  • Approve quotes, discounts, contracts and refunds
  • Make the creative calls with your authors
  • Decide what to spend on marketing
  • Keep the profit

A typical day's decisions take a few minutes. Your agent never commits you to money or makes a promise to an author without asking.

Your agent

  • Answers author emails in your name, day or night
  • Replies to new enquiries and drafts quotes
  • Runs every book's project and chases deadlines
  • Formats print and ebook interiors
  • Creates cover concepts for authors to choose from
  • Writes descriptions, keywords and categories
  • Prepares every title for IngramSpark and KDP
  • Proofreads and copyedits with tracked changes for the author
  • Imports store sales reports every quarter
  • Produces each author's royalty statement
  • Collects W-9s and W-8BENs and applies withholding
  • Prepares year-end 1099 and 1042-S forms
Honest about the work

Every step done by your agent. You and your author approve.

An agent is superb at the production and paperwork of publishing. It proofreads and copyedits a finished manuscript (every change a tracked change the author accepts or rejects), designs the covers, formats the ebook and print editions, writes the metadata, distributes through your own store accounts and narrates the audiobook, all included in your plan. We don't sell human editing, designer covers, human narration or translation; when an author wants a hand-designed cover, you refer them to GetCovers. Every title passes a quality check before it goes to any store.

Yours, not ours

A real publishing company you own

Your brand

Your press name, logo, colours and web address on everything authors see. Our name never appears.

Your store accounts

Books are distributed through your own IngramSpark account and, if you want Amazon's higher royalty, your own KDP account. We help you set them up.

Your ISBNs

Your press is the publisher of record on every book. Your agent walks you through buying your own ISBN block.

Your authors and contracts

The relationships, agreements and revenue are yours. Export everything at any time.

If you ever decide to sell your press, you're selling a real business with its own accounts, catalogue and authors.

The numbers

What could your press earn?

Move the sliders. Publishing a finished manuscript is included, so your only production costs are small per-book items such as ISBNs and a printed proof.

Questions

Frequently asked

No. That's the point. Your agent knows the formats, specifications, store rules and paperwork. Your job is to bring authors, set prices and make decisions. It explains anything you want to understand, but you never have to.

They'll know they're working with your press. Your agent writes in your name with your signature, and you choose how you describe it. You might simply tell authors that an AI assistant handles the scheduling and paperwork so the people can focus on the book.

You do. Your press is the publisher of record, the IngramSpark and KDP accounts are in your name, the store payments go to your bank, and your author contracts are between you and your authors. You can export everything at any time.

For a finished manuscript, nothing beyond your plan. Your agent formats it, designs the cover, converts it and distributes it. Your only per-book costs are the ISBN and, if you want one, a printed proof. Whatever you charge your author for publishing is yours to keep.

Every title passes a quality check before it goes to any store, and nothing is published without your approval and your author's. Proofreading comes back as tracked changes the author accepts or rejects, and every audiobook chapter is checked against the text. Human editing, human narration and translation aren't offered; for a hand-designed cover, refer the author to GetCovers.

Your agent narrates them with AI on your own AuthorVoices account and distributes them through your own InAudio account to Spotify, Apple, Google, Kobo, libraries and more. Audible's ACX doesn't accept AI narration; Amazon offers its own Virtual Voice for KDP ebooks where available.

Stores pay your accounts directly. Each quarter your agent imports the sales reports, matches every sale to its book, applies each author's contract and any tax withholding, and prepares the statements and payouts for you to approve.

Yes, when they're built from your author's own material, such as notes, interviews, recordings or drafts. That covers non-fiction, memoir and children's books. We don't support books generated from a one-line prompt, and AI use is disclosed to the stores as their rules require.

Marketing comes built in: AuthorPass sits on your website, your authors subscribe directly, and you earn 30% of every payment for as long as they stay. We handle the work and the support. You are free to offer other marketing too.

Your agent runs on your own ChatGPT account, so the AI is yours and OpenAI bills you for it directly. We don't mark it up. We'll help you choose the plan that fits the size of your press.

Every title in your catalogue counts the same, whether you brought it with you or published it with us. When your catalogue passes 100 or 500 titles, you move up a plan. There's no limit on the number of authors.

No. Your catalogue is already on our systems, so there's no per-title import fee. Your books, files and royalty history come with you.

No. Monthly plans run month to month. Annual plans save you two months.
